Fragrance Free Is Safer

Don't use scents, perfumes, or fragrances unless they come from essential oils.

Enter Big Pharma and petroleum-based perfumes and air fresheners. Dirt cheap and available everywhere they can cover up the stench in your car, bathroom, and gym, while lowering your testosterone and putting at greater risk for infertility and cancer.

Consumers have been misled into believing air fresheners are made from "natural" essential oils extracted from grasses, flowers, wood, spices, fruit, resins, roots, gums, or leaves. Nothing could be further from the truth. They come from chemists.

"Fragrance chemists" are scientists who use petroleum as the molecular foundation for air freshener products. Through processes known as "catalytic reforming" and "thermal cracking", air fresheners are cheaply created out of petrochemical waste compounds.

To avoid the chemical onslaught, avoid all products that have "fragrance" on the label. By using that vague word, manufacturers can legally sneak 100's of hazardous, synthetic chemicals into your home.

They attack you and your unsuspecting family, especially your kids, whose bodies are still developing. Since most scented plug-in oil warmers are made of 90-100% fragrance, rest assured you're getting a heated petrol-porridge, rather than a natural fresh scent. And it becomes addictive.

There's a reason drug addicts snort cocaine rather than eat it. The nose is the fastest and most direct route into the body, especially to the brain. On average we breathe in and our 20,000 cycles each day. In a room full of artificial and "natural scents" each breath delivers a chemical assault to the bloodstream within seconds.

When you inhale, sticky odor molecules travel through the nose. They go directly to receptor sites in the hypothalamus, hippo-campus, and the amygdala. These are the parts of the brain that control blood pressure, emotion, breathing, memory, heart rate, and hormone balance.

As you, your family, and your holiday guests merrily breathe in the enticing, fake scent of Evergreen Citrus Melody oil, courtesy of warmer plug-ins, hundreds of vaporized chemicals instantly coat your nose, pharynx, larynx, and trachea. They enter your bronchial tubes and penetrate the alveoli sacs in your lungs.

With each breath you allow petroleum hydrocarbon molecules to enter the millions of capillaries and into the bloodstream, then finally into the cells of your body. It's a cancer-forming orgy.

Once inside the cells, fragrance molecules disrupt your endocrine system. They wreck your hormone balance, output and sensitivity. In normal circumstances, your hormones regulate metabolism, brain function, genital formation, central nervous system operation, DNA integrity, and reproductive system function. But all of this gets messed up, thanks to "fragrance" disrupting your hormones.

Avoid organ damage by refusing to use air fresheners. Get back to basics by using essential oils, chemical-free and fragrance free bath soap like lye soap or Ivory soap, and natural cleaning products. Make sure they're fragrance-free.
